Bio

A little bit about Mary A. Honerman . . .

I’m a writer, teacher, mother, and lover of books. I have written two cozy mystery series: the Happy Camper series (Kensington Publishing Corp.) and the Professor Prather series (Camel Press). My short stories have appeared in Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine and Black Cat Weekly. Currently, I write the Lady of Letters historical mystery series (Berkley Prime Crime) under the name Mary Winters. I have an MA in English and am pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing.

I enjoy helping writers find their voice, and I also enjoying teaching the art of short story and novel writing. I’ve taught college English and humanities for over ten years and guest teach upon request. When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time with my family. I’m married to my partner in crime and have two wonderful daughters.
